Breaking news from ESPN: Sources say Donovan has decided to stay with Florida and will not speak with Kentucky.
The ESPN article is backed by Andy Katz and looks more reliable. I'm sticking with my tried-and-true rule: If Chris Mortensen didn't say it, you can't bank on it.
Added 1:03p: The Baltimore Sun has now posted an AP article confirming that Donovan is staying at Florida.

I don't put much weight on Florida giving Kentucky permission to talk to Donovan, especially if they're convinced he's coming back. It's essentially a meaningless gesture.
I really don't understand why Donovan would leave. He can get a huge new deal from Florida (especially if he plays Kentucky off them) and he's well on his way to being a coaching legend there. On second thought, this deserves its own post. I'll break down the Florida vs. Kentucky argument, Nick Bakay style.
