Check out dot.comments by Doug Feaver of the Washington Post. He has a nice collection of Redskins bulletin board chatter over the imminent hiring of Jim Fassel. Only most of it is suicidal or calling for regicide.
Also, let me be clear that we are sticking to our claim that he's been hired. Here are the reasons:
1) John Riggins said so
2) Snyder is picking the coordinators (which no coach with any balls would allow, so it must be Fassel).
Crystal clear that Riggins' source is correct.

Oh, whatever. It's not an inspired hire, but when will it ever be with Dan Snyder? Marty, Spurrier, Gibbs...did we really think any of these would work?
Okay, I did think Gibbs would work. But after the first 8 games I changed my mind.
To any team looking for another fan: I am now accepting applications.
We always welcome additional purple converts. Your other two geographic options are Atlanta and Washington, so feel free to join us. We may suck on the field sometimes, but at least it isn't due to front office/ownership incompetence.
You guys are a bunch of whiners!! How many playoff games have the Skins won in the past 50 years? How many Super Bowls? Try one playoff win! One!
Things are bad for a couple years and you revolt! Give me a freakin break.
Go Lions.
I hardly think Skins fans can be accused of being spoiled rotten and not knowing how good they have it.
The post-first-stint-Gibbs era has failed to produce one legitimate contender or one NFC championship game. I think this 2006-2007 run is the first back-to-back playoff appearance since 1991-1992.
Making the playoffs occasionally is not the standard of decency in the NFL. Just because the Lions are as bad as it gets doesn't make the rest of us spoiled.
That said, Go Lions.
