Oakland has not sold all of their tickets for Sunday's game against the Houston Texans. If they haven't sold them all by 1:15p tomorrow, the NFL will impose a blackout (barring an extension).
Guess what? The NFL isn't granting an extension. The blackout rules provide that the ALTERNATE game is shown. This Sunday afternoon, that would be the Patriots v. Colts. If the fans in San Fran/Oakland want to see that game, Roger Goodell would be a fool not to give it to them.
As you can see here, only Houston, Cleveland (4 p.m. home game against Seattle), Fresno and Eureka would be forced to endure the Raiders-Texans game, and I'm guessing Fresno and Eureka will flip too if the game is blacked out in Oakland.
Read about it here in the San Francisco Chronicle.

I may be the only person with close to zero interest in this game. I mean, the winner has an excellent shot at going 16-0. Congratulations. Call me when they are playing on the winner's home turf in the AFC Championship Game, and then I'll tune in. As we all know, Championship Sunday far exceeds Super Sunday in terms of the quality of games and the drama on the field.
It's a must-see sporting event only because the rematch in January is nearly a foregone conclusion the way things look right now.
That, and who can pass up the opportunity to watch the dreamy Tom Brady?
I am awesome
Ugh. I am stuck here in Fresno and we get screwed every week thanks to the Raiders and Niners so I am praying for a blackout. The locals will probably be restless but it would be well worth reprieve.
But Maryland Grad, when else will you be able to see Sage Rosenfels?
